Creative Connections
Do you believe you are not creative? We all are and let me prove it to you.
Creativity comes from within. When we create, we pull from an unseen energy, a place from within, a place of silence, non judgment and love. You are drawing from your intuition when you are being creative. Through creativity you are in touch with a higher energy that is unseen. This is why mindfulness and meditation help with creativity. When I am immersed fully in a creative activity, I feel an energy as I work. I trust I will learn and develop the skills to achieve something beautiful, not perfect, but at least beautiful in my eyes at least.
The ability to imagine carries us further beyond just the capacity to see our physical environment. By recognising the contributions of the soul through creative spiritual expression you have the opportunity to improve your skills and develop a side of you that you thought did not exist.
Creativity reawakens the childlike wonder and inner peace. Think back to your earliest memories involving creating, as we grow or mature it is easy to become caught in fear or trying to keep up that we disconnect from our lifeline and miss the wildness and joy and freedom of every breath.
While deep in the creative flow we experience awe moments of absolutely no struggle, no thought simply an attentive creator writing, painting, drawing, sculpting, gardening, baking the list is endless.
Creativity gives you opportunities to step away from your everyday reality and develop your inner spiritual self. Begin by breaking out of the limits our world forces on us. Paint, draw, write, dance, sing right now add flair and beauty to something you do, decorate rocks with intentions, create a playlist of songs that uplift your spirit. Don’t prepare, be spontaneous, just create.
Join Norah fortnightly for a chat where our tribe will encourage each other on our creative journey. Additionally, special events will be arranged throughout the year where those who can make it to the hunter region can meet for in person creative sessions.
