Sophia Soul

From Dependency To Self-Determination

Few people have had the kind of life that Sophia has had and ended up running a worldwide organisation dedicated to the Empowerment of self & others

Having been born with a Genetic Disorder and undergoing about 30 operations due to a genetic disorder, Sophia has faced many challenges in all aspects of her life. From chronic pain, extreme bullying, sexual and emotional abuse and mental health issues that led to suicide attempts. She can honestly say “I have lived through many challenges and have been able to completely transform my life with constant practice and awareness.”

Because of her upbringing, Sophia has always seen things differently to most people in this world.  In wanting to experience a life where she could live in Contentment, Sophia has been on a spiritual journey for as long as she can remember, including practicing meditation for over 30 years, 18 of which were spent living in Meditation and Retreat Centres.

It was during this 30year period, Sophia really discovered what true Self Esteem is: “The state of consciousness where you value your inner self, regardless of whether you are being approved of or respected by others’.

For Sophia, Sound Healing and Breathwork became her way to heal her body, on both the physical and emotional levels, so much that she now lives a life free of pain and drugs.

The power of Positive Thought and Self-Esteem has also completely changed her as a person. Sophia now lives a life that is full of possibilities, she wakes every day and give thanks for being alive. Sophia believes that the power of the mind contains the answers to everything we ever desire.

All of this work of Self-Development over the years has brought Sophia to where she is now, creating a global movement of Love, Growth & Connection through her organisation ‘Our Sacred Community’ which is now a Worldwide Community dedicated to helping, supporting, and encouraging women to both empower themselves and each other, so as each can fulfil their dreams, desires & purpose.

Our Sacred Community achieves this by providing a global platform that brings together like-minded people to create connections and share their passions, their purpose, their services, their events and a space where you will discover that you can be accepted just as you are.

Their mission is to ‘Touch Lives Everywhere’.

“Give me a child until he is seven and I will show you the man”

Reflecting on my journey from a tumultuous childhood to a champion of female empowerment and independence, Aristotle’s profound insight, “Give me a child until he is seven and I will show you the man,” echoes deeply within my narrative.

My early years, marred by the instability of having alcoholic parents, were fraught with challenges. The inconsistency in my life meant that basic necessities were often scarce, and the emotional rollercoaster of my family’s dynamics left me with memories that are both precious and painful. My father’s battle with addiction prevented him from providing for us, thrusting my mother into the role of sole provider through means that no one should have to resort to.

Salvation came when I was six, as my mother’s family intervened, offering my brothers and me a haven with our grandparents. This marked the beginning of a new chapter, one without my father, who vanished from my life, and my mother, whose sporadic visits ended tragically in a fire when I was fourteen.

These experiences, though harrowing, crystallized my life’s mission: to empower and protect those who stand where I once did. Armed with a Bachelor of Counselling and Relationship Counselling, I dedicated myself to aiding couples navigate through abuse, focusing on healing and growth.

My commitment to creating a world of empowerment and safety led me to establish a venture aimed at providing women in vulnerable situations with a sanctuary. This initiative was not just about offering a safer alternative to streetwalking; it was about fostering an environment where women could reclaim their independence, develop personal and life skills, and step into their power.

It was in in a course of transformation and empowerment that I connected with Sophia. Together, we envisioned a global community where individuals could come together to support, empower, and inspire one another towards personal growth and achieving their dreams.

Thus, Sacred U was conceived—a sanctuary for souls across the globe seeking connection, empowerment, and a path to their goals. It stands as a beacon of hope, embodying the belief that from adversity can arise strength, unity, and the power to change lives.
